A dream endures only when it is made real. TRADELOSSA is the embodiment of one tenacious man's resolve in the face of profound adversity.

Our story begins in Villa de Talpa, Jalisco. Its name, derived from Nahuatl, means “upon the earth”—a fitting origin for the legacy of Don Aurelio de los Santos Murillo. Born on March 15, 1916, the youngest of seven children, his childhood was shaped by a Mexico in conflict. At just seven years old, he suffered the loss of both his parents, an experience that would define his character.

Having only reached the third grade, his brother Salvador took him to the Sierra of Durango. There, he began working in the burgeoning timber industry, taking on vital roles as a helper, a foreman, and a timber scaler.

His unwavering determination became his calling card, opening doors with mentors like Don Fermín Núñez, who instilled in him the values of constancy, honesty, and resilience. His dedication earned him a role as a trusted chauffeur, a step that led him to his first major goal: to own his own truck. In 1935, after years of effort, he achieved this. With determination, he expanded his fleet to six vehicles dedicated to hauling timber.

However, the economic instability of the era cost him everything. With a family to support, he moved to the capital of Durango in 1950, resolved to continue in the transportation business.

A pivotal moment arrived in 1960 with the nationalization of the electrical industry. Don Aurelio, recognized for transporting utility poles, became a primary carrier for the Federal Electricity Commission. As demand grew, so did the complexities of the loads, inspiring him to dream bigger.

With ingenuity and the collaboration of his sons, he pioneered specialized transportation, fabricating reinforced platforms and lowboy trailers for larger cargo. The loss of his own parents cemented his conviction to strengthen his own family unit.

On November 16, 1973, after years of sacrifice, Don Aurelio officially founded Transportes de los Santos e Hijos, S.A. de C.V. The company's motto, "Look out for one another," reflected his core value of family unity.

In 1985, he passed the torch to his sons, who carried his legacy forward, transforming TRADELOSSA into the first Mexican company with equipment specifically designed for oversized loads.

Don Aurelio passed away in January 1998, surrounded by his family—the achievement he valued most. Today, with over 50 years of history, TRADELOSSA stands as a benchmark for specialized cargo transportation in Mexico. Its legacy is one of effort, tenacity, and commitment, forever centered on family—built upon the heart of a man who gave his very best to make this company a reality.
