On April 18th, the SC&RA; (Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association) Annual Contest was held in San Diego, CA.<\/p>\n
This year, Tradelossa decided to compete in the most challenging category, “Moving Job of the Year” which includes projects of Top leading companies from around the world. This category presents projects that used self-propelled hydraulic trailers, dollies and crawler assembled equipment.<\/p>\n
With GREAT joy and pride we share that we were honored with the award granted by the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association for this category. becoming the first Latin American company to receive this award for the \u201cMoving Job of the Year\u201d<\/p>\n
For this event, we presented the transportation project of the largest cargo we’ve moved until now; the C2 Splitter for the Ethylene XXI project. This move was completed one year ago in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, M\u00e9xico.<\/p>\n
The 880 metric tons reactor was 102 meters long and had 9.75 meters in diameter, traveled 12 kilometers in total (7.5 miles), facing 6 major obstacles along the way. The transportation of the piece took 18 days in which changes were made to the vehicle configuration.<\/p>\n
